Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website at bucksdogtraining.com, the pet portal at erp.bucksdogtraining.com, and the dog training, breeding, and trainer-certification services provided by Buck's Dog Training(“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using our website, scheduling a consult, or booking a program, you agree to these Terms.
Services
- Board-and-train, private lessons, day training, group classes, and behavior modification programs.
- Puppy placement from our breeding program.
- Therapy dog, AKC CGC, and service dog preparation and certification.
- Trainer certification cohorts and operator licensing.
- The pet portal and related digital services.
Bookings, deposits, and payment
- Consult. The initial 30-minute phone consult is complimentary. The in-person intake assessment is $195 on-site (credited toward your program if you book within 30 days), $350 off-site, $585 on-site with Nicole, $1,050 off-site with Nicole.
- Deposit. A non-refundable deposit is required to secure a board-and-train slot. The deposit is applied to the program total. Deposit amount is disclosed at booking and written into the program agreement.
- Balance. The balance is due at or before drop-off unless a written payment plan is in place.
- Accepted payment. Major credit cards, ACH, cash, and approved financing. No personal checks.
- Late fees and returned payments. A $35 fee applies to any returned payment. Past-due balances accrue interest at the maximum rate permitted by law.
Cancellation and rescheduling
- Before drop-off. You may reschedule once at no cost up to 7 days before drop-off. Inside 7 days, the deposit is forfeited unless we can fill the slot.
- After drop-off. Program fees are non-refundable once the dog has entered the program. We will prorate refunds for medical emergencies on a case-by-case basis at our reasonable discretion.
- Refresher sessions.Included in-person refresher sessions do not expire on a calendar but must be redeemed during the life of the dog and during a normally operating Buck's territory.
- Operator changes. If you are routed to an operator-licensed Buck's territory and the operator ceases to operate the territory, we will make a reasonable effort to transition your services to another active operator or to a corporate-run facility. We are not responsible for distance or travel inconvenience that results from an operator transition.
Outcome guarantee
For board-and-train programs, the outcome guarantee means we will not consider the program closed until your dog reaches the goals written into the program agreement at drop-off. We reserve the right to extend the residential portion of the program at no additional cost if needed to reach the goals, and we may decline to extend if your dog presents a safety risk to our staff or other clients. The outcome guarantee does not cover regression that occurs after the go-home transition if you fail to apply the methodology we transferred at go-home.
Health and safety requirements
- Current on Rabies, Distemper-Parvo, and Bordetella vaccinations. Proof required at drop-off.
- Free of contagious disease and parasites. We may require veterinary clearance for any dog presenting symptoms at drop-off.
- Dogs with bite history or aggression must be disclosed in writing on the program agreement. Undisclosed bite history voids the agreement and incurs a $250 administrative fee.
- We do not enroll female dogs in heat in board-and-train; please reschedule if heat falls within the program window.
Liability and assumption of risk
Dog training involves inherent risks, including injuries to dogs and people. By booking, you acknowledge those risks and agree to hold Buck's Dog Training, its operators, employees, and contractors harmless against claims arising from such risks except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct. You are responsible for providing accurate health and behavior information about your dog.
Photo and video release
We may use photos and short video clips of your dog taken during the program for marketing, social media, and internal training purposes. You may opt out in writing at any time and we will use commercially reasonable efforts to remove previously published media within 30 days of a written opt-out. We will not use your name, your dog's name with your last name, or your face in marketing without explicit written consent (a checkbox on the program agreement).
Pet portal accounts
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
- Notify us within 5 days of any suspected unauthorized account access.
- We may suspend an account that violates these Terms.
Intellectual property
The Buck's Dog Training name, logo, methodology, curriculum, training materials, and the content of this website are owned by Buck's Dog Training. You may not copy, redistribute, or resell the materials without written permission. Operator licensees receive a separate written license that governs use of brand and methodology in their territory.
Disputes
Any dispute arising under or related to these Terms will be resolved in the state and federal courts of New Jersey, except that we may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect our intellectual property. You agree to waive any jury trial in connection with such disputes. Nothing in this section limits a consumer's rights under applicable state consumer-protection statutes.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or a banner on the website. Your continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
