What to expect
Three weeks at our Mullica Hill HQ. Foundation is built in week one, the 3Ds (Distance, Duration, Distraction) are layered in weeks two and three, and the program ends with a structured go-home lesson and a full transition plan for handling the dog at home. Questions we hear about Transformational Training
What does "off-leash reliable" actually mean here?+
It means your dog will come when called, hold a stay, and ignore prey-drive triggers at the level we test for during the program. Off-leash reliability is never a guarantee in every environment forever — but our standard is high enough that the dog can be off-leash on a hike, in a back yard, or at a calm park.
How is this different from Foundational?+
Foundational gets your dog listening reliably on-leash and in the house. Transformational gets your dog reliable off-leash and proofed under real-world distractions. Think of Foundational as the floor and Transformational as the ceiling for most family dogs.
Will you use an ecollar?+
For off-leash proofing, almost always yes. We use it humanely, as communication — not punishment. We will walk you through the methodology on the consult call. If you have hard preferences against the tool, we will be honest with you about whether the goals you want are realistic without it.
What does success look like at the end of 3 weeks?+
Off-leash come, sit, down, place, heel. Hold a stay through a meal, a meeting at the door, a passing dog. Walk politely on leash and off. Settle calmly in the house without crate enforcement. We are not going for circus tricks — we are going for a dog you actually want to live with and bring places.
